On the 1593 Å transition of CS2
The optical absorption spectrum of the 1593 Å transition of static (room temperature) and jet-cooled CS2 has been remeasured to determine the temperature dependence of the spectrum and to better characterize the experimental band shapes and intensities. Summary: | The optical absorption spectrum of the 1593 Å transition of static (room temperature) and jet-cooled CS2 has been remeasured to determine the temperature dependence of the spectrum and to better characterize the experimental band shapes and intensities. Based on these results and others, current assignment controversies are resolved and the separation between the singlet and triplet components of the excited state, the excited state vibrational frequencies, and electronic and vibronic properties of the excited state are determined. |
