Orientational effect in ultrasonic attenuation in metals under the conditions of magnetoacoustic resonance
Ultrasonic absorption in metals (degenerate conductors) in a strong magnetic field is investigated theoretically. Peculiarities in the orientational magnetoacoustic resonance are discovered and compared with the known Reneker tilt effect. Special role of open Fermi surfaces is emphasized.
