Summary: | This paper deals with the design and implementation of current mode circuits using bipolar and BiCMOS technologies. Practical applications covering a broad range of analogue VLSI standard cell designs have been demonstrated through HSPICE simulation results. These include high-gain amplifiers, gain-tunable amplifiers, four-quadrant multipliers, continuous-time filter applications along with nonlinear circuit realizations. Prominent features of the novel circuits proposed include low-voltage and low-power operation with signal swings over large linear range. High-frequency characteristics permit high-speed operation with a wide bandwidth maintained at increasing capacitive loads. |
