The Synthesis of (3,5-DI-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)methyl-(3-pyridylalkyl)-ethers via 1-(3,5-Di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)methyl Pyridinium Salts

The rearrangement of 1-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)methyl pyridinium salts under basic conditions is described. A method for the synthesis of (3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)methyl-(3-pyridylalkyl)-ethers is elaborated.
