HNMR, FT-IR and UV-visible spectroscopy. The complexes adopted distorted square planar geometry. The ligand and Ni complex exhibit monotropic thermal transition in DSC thermogram whereas Cd or Hg complexes are non-mesogenic. All the complexes displayed blue emission at ∼450 nm. |
