Description
Summary:The influences of different concentrations of Polystyrene/Dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide latex nanoparticles and immersion times of mineral surfaces on flotation recovery have been investigated. Advancing water contact angle (θ a ) on the glass slides surfaces measured after conditioning them in different concentrations of diluted latex (0.028, 0.28, 0.56 g/L) at different immersion times (1, 10, 20, 30 min). Under these conditions, θ a was changed between 29 and 105 degrees. The results showed that the concentrations of diluted latex as well as immersion time have important roles on the hydrophobic property of surfaces that covered with cationic latex nanoparticles.
