Summary:Metaseiulus Muma is redefined to accommodate a new species, Metaseiulus ferlai n. sp., described in this paper based on specimens collected on rubber trees, Hevea brasiliensis Muell. Arg. (Euphorbiaceae), in the State of Mato Grosso, Brazil. The subgenus Metaseiulus Muma is also redefined, and a new species group (ferlai species group) is proposed.
