Summary: | This article compares a Jungian approach to personal growth groups to the Person-centered and Gestalt approaches. Similarities are noted, though a Jungian approach adds the dimension of a "cognitive map" not found in the other two. This cognitive map uses constructs from Jung's theory of the individuation process. It is hypothesized that the integration of these constructs into group work would foster member learning and development. |
