description | Twenty-first century is an era of cutting-edge technologies. From artificial intelligence to nanotechnology, modern life has gathered the pace to match up with the shrinking time and fast-moving world. Likewise, a Heterogeneous Network finds its own space in this century of inventions. Every individual, industry, and institute needs to be connected to the internet cloud. Mobile applications have changed the dynamics of every individual's life. From personal management to professional proficiency, mobile applications play an important role in almost every aspect. Numerous applications available these days demand continuous bandwidth connection. To remain always connected, there is a need for an effective handoff procedure. In this paper, we have proposed a convex optimization technique for optimizing the call drop probability, remaining energy and handoffs in heterogeneous networks. The proposed algorithm has outperformed the already existing M-OPTG and M-WO algorithms. |
