Summary:The paper deals with the morphology (botanical description) of two species of broomrapes (Orobanche spp., Phelipanche spp.) of Lens culinalis and Carduus marianus parasitism by Phelipanche nana (Reut.) Sojak and P. aegyptiaca (Pers.). Concerning P. nana, it is estimated that more than 150 ha of lentils were parasitised in the investigated area. These species are reported for the first time on lentil fields and C. marianus on the road sides in Greece.
