Description
Summary:A new microstrip triple-band bandpass filter (BPF) using a variation of genetic algorithm (VGA) is proposed in this paper. The VGA is applied to simultaneously search for the appropriate circuit topology and the corresponding electrical parameters with a triple-band characteristic. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the VGA, a triple-band BPF is designed and fabricated. In the filter, the 3 dB fractional bandwidths for the three passbands centered at 2.05, 3.57, and 5.81 GHz are 14.63, 11.20, and 7.57%, respectively. Measurement results agree well with the design index and full-wave EM simulated results.
