Summary: | CrMoNiV and CrMoV steels reheat and under bead cracking are evaluated by annealing the steels at 1300 deg C and isothermal tensile testing up to 780 deg C. At 550-600 deg C, the steels had a minimum in reduction in area and showed a crystalline fracture with sulfur and Cr precipitates on the fracture surface. Also, the specimens were heated to 1300 deg C, cooled to 550-600 deg C, and loaded to 300-700 MPa. The results showed stress relaxation took place by creep. (Original in Czech).
