Summary:Although the application of artificial intelligence to China's construction industry is at a preliminary stage, the IES development is satisfactory and the commerical potential has been shown and might well be adopted by other provinces in China. Further reforms concerning the construction industry take place in the summer of 1995 and a new version of IES will be available at that time.
