Synthesis of New Phosphorus Ligands and Their Reactions with Palladium (II) Halide: A Multi Nuclear NMR Study

Synthesis of new phosphorus ligands such as Ph 2 PCH 3 CO 2 C═CHCO 2 CH 3 (DMPPS) and Ph 2 P(CH 3 ) 3 CO 2 CC═CHCO 2 C(CH 3 ) 3 (DB 1 PPS) in moderate to good yields by the reaction of CH-acid (nitromethane), dialkyl acetylenedicaboxylate, and chloro-diphenylphosphine, as well as their corresponding...

Description
Summary:Synthesis of new phosphorus ligands such as Ph 2 PCH 3 CO 2 C═CHCO 2 CH 3 (DMPPS) and Ph 2 P(CH 3 ) 3 CO 2 CC═CHCO 2 C(CH 3 ) 3 (DB 1 PPS) in moderate to good yields by the reaction of CH-acid (nitromethane), dialkyl acetylenedicaboxylate, and chloro-diphenylphosphine, as well as their corresponding palladium (II) halide complexes [Pd(DMPPS) 2 ]Cl 2 (I) and [Pd(DB t PPS) 2 ]Cl 2 (II), are reported. The structures of these compounds were confirmed by IR, 1 H, 31 P, and 13 C NMR spectroscopy and elemental analysis.
