Description
Summary:The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of spraying water over the photovoltaic modules on a photovoltaic water pumping performance under different operating conditions. This is performed by examining the performance of a photovoltaic water pumping system with two and three photovoltaic modules with water spray in parallel. The experimental results show that the increased modules power due to spraying water is significant in all cases. The results also indicate that when the number of photovoltaic modules increases, the sprayed water on the photovoltaic modules plays an important role to reduce the power loss. Furthermore, the results show that when high power is demanded, spraying a low rate of water yields significant improvement on the system performance.
