Description
Summary:Copper promoter has been added to HZSM-5 catalyst by ion exchange and impregnation methods in the methanol to gasoline (MTG) conversion process. Since the amount and the type of addition of the promoter influence the nanocatalyst performance, four nanocatalysts containing different types and amounts (0%, 1.9% with ion exchange, 1.9% with impregnation, and 7% with impregnation) of the added promoter prepared via one of the two addition methods have been compared. Among the nanocatalysts studied, although the catalyst promoted by the ion exchange method performs better (conversion: 100% and yield: 47.8%), it may have a lower catalyst life than that by impregnation (7%).
