Description
Summary:The heat transfer intensity through the separation wall in Leontiev tubes depends on many factors, in particular, the thermal resistance of the separation wall and the external thermal resistances of the near-wall thermal boundary layers. The thermal resistance of the separation wall can be reduced by choosing a highly conductive material and by reducing the wall thickness. External thermal resistances can be reduced by enhancing heat transfer, in particular, by means of finning. In this paper, a theoretical study was carried out on the influence of the thermal resistance of the separation wall, as well as finning on the part of the supersonic and subsonic channels of the Leontiev tube on the efficiency of energy separation.
