Effect of conjugate heat transfer on the side and horizontal walls on the structure of convective flow in the Rayleigh-Benard convection mode

Description
Summary:Rayleigh-Benard convection in rectangular cavities with different relative size with walls of finite thermal conductivity is studied numerically in a two-dimensional conjugate formulation. The influence of relative cavity sizes on the spatial shape and evolution of convective flows with increasing Rayleigh numbers is investigated. Velocity and temperature fields in the liquid, temperature fields, temperature gradients and heat fluxes in solid walls are calculated. The effect of conjugate heat transfer with walls of finite thermal conductivity on the spatial shape and local characteristics of convective heat transfer is studied.
