Description
Summary:The electrification ratio of West Sulawesi Province according to electricity statistics in 2020 is 99.72%. 74,342 households do not have PLN electricity, one of which is in Kasoloang Village, Durian Guni Hamlet, Bambaira District, Pasangkayu Regency. So far, they can only enjoy electricity for five hours at night. they use a Generator set. Fueled by gasoline or diesel. On the one hand, the potential for solar radiation in the West Sulawesi region is quite potential to develop solar cell energy (SCE). This study aims to examine the efficiency of SCE in Kasoloang Village using the HOMER application. the next stage is the design of the generator to determine energy requirements and the calculation of the capacity of components (such as solar panels, solar controllers, batteries, and other features). The results showed that the efficiency value of using SCE was higher than that of the generator.
