Description
Summary:This article presents the results of a study of the winter hydrochemical regime of the reservoirs of the Upper Volga basin. It has been found that in winter, when there is water drawdown and a decrease in the volume of water, the concentrations of the main ions, nutrients, heavy metals, and oil products increase in comparison with other seasons of the year. Water masses of the Upper Volga reservoirs are characterized by low hardness, neutral pH and low chromaticity. Also noted was an increasing concentration of hydrocarbonates towards the bottom.
