Summary:The aim of the work was to determine and justify the correct technological approach in cases of double ovulation and twin pregnancies in mares. The frequency of single and double ovulations (n=2207), the level of twin pregnancies and the results of manual reduction of excess embryo in mares were studied. The average level of double ovulations was 9.5 % per year, and it had no significant difference in mares of different breeds (Russian Trotter, French Trotter, Standardbred and others).
