Description
Summary:In the current study, we developed a simple, eco-friendly, quick and economical process to synthesize stable silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using medicinal herb Moringa oliefera leaves extract. Obtained AgNPs are characterized by spectrophotometrical and microscopic techniques such as UV-Visible spectroscopy, x-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM). The study on the in vitro antidiabetic activities displayed that the particles have greater α-amylase inhibition potentials. In addition, exceptional antioxidant activity on 1, 1-Diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) is observed. Cytotoxic study against Michigan Cancer Foundation-7 (MCF-7) cell lines displayed significant anticancer activity of AgNPs and hence they can be employed as a promising, cost-reliable and non-toxic strategy for treating these diseases in future.
