Description
Summary:For imaging complex-valued objects, generally digital holography is used. In holography, the requirement of a separate reference source could restrict its application. Investigating objects through recording multiple holograms demands a stable platform to keep the reference field the same. Without the reference field, one can obtain only the object autocorrelation term from the far-field intensity pattern. We propose a compact, robust, lensless and common path method to retrieve the complex object information directly from the object autocorrelation using edge point referencing where we control the field at a point located at the periphery of the beam illuminating the object. We show that the object field can be reconstructed and object dynamics can be monitored with high fidelity.
