Short Communication: Effect of aromatic hydrocarbons on the metabolism of 2-aminoanthracene to mutagenic products in the Ames assay

When the carcinogen 2-aminoanthracene was tested for mutagenicity in the Ames assay, the inclusion of aromatic hydrocarbons of various ring sizes had differing effects on mutagenicity depending on the components of the assay.
