Summary: | This study was conducted at the Agway Farm Research Center, Fabius, NY, on Saranac alfalfa. Crop was seeded and treated May 19’78 in a randomized block design of 3 replications (plot size 10 ft x 10 ft). Pre-plant broadcast systemic granular applications were made to seed bed after Eptam applied and incorporated (land fitted well). Seeding and fertilizer incorporated lightly into 1 inch of topsoil. At planting, winds were calm on a clear day; air temperature was 75°F, and soil temperature 66°F. |
