Observations of Radio Sources at 612 and 1 400 Mc/s
Observations have been made of 159 radio sources in the revised 3C catalogue (Bennett 1962 b), using the 250-ft reflector at Jodrell Bank at frequencies of 612 and 1 400 Mc/s. The flux densities at these two frequencies have been combined with the flux density at 178 Mc/s to give the spectral index...

Summary: | Observations have been made of 159 radio sources in the revised 3C catalogue (Bennett 1962 b), using the 250-ft reflector at Jodrell Bank at frequencies of 612 and 1 400 Mc/s. The flux densities at these two frequencies have been combined with the flux density at 178 Mc/s to give the spectral index and a spectral curvature parameter for each source. A group of 110 of the sources form a well-defined sample, which may be used for statistical analysis of spectral behaviour. |
