Summary:Covalent dimers of ImPyLDu86 with various linkers were synthesized and their DNA interstrand cross-linking abilities were examined. Denaturing polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis indicated that dimer molecule with tetramethylene linker efficiently produced interstrand cross-link only in the presence of appropriate partner PyIm triamides.
