Immunocytochemical localization of uricase in peroxisomes of soybean cotyledons

Antibodies specific for nodule uricase were used for immunocytochemistry to demonstrate the presence of uricase in cotyledons of soybean (Glycine max) during germination and early seedling growth. The enzyme was localized exclusively in peroxisomes.
