Summary: | Thermoluminescence dosemeters are widely used in a number of applications and the techique of phototransferred thermoluminescence by ultraviolet radiation at elevated temperatures is used for re-assessment of absorbed dose. Work has been done to investigate phototransfer processes in lithium fluorde, beryllium oxide, and calcium sulphate doped with dysprosium and with thulium and to gain information on the multiple re-assessment of absorbed dose. The latter enables high primary absorbed doses to be assessed within the normal sensitivity range of thermoluminescence detecting systems. |
