Description
Summary:The TL response of LiF:Mg,Ti (TLD-100) chips and cleaved crystals to monoenergetic photons of 600, 730, 900, and 1500 eV energy was studied. The radiation source was the synchrotron radiation from the recently commissioned Medical Physics Beamline at the 1 GeV electron storage ring, Aladdin, of the University of Wisconsin. The response of the TLDs as a function of total energy delivered and the glow curves for LiF:Mg,Ti annealed in He and air are presented, showing the adverse effect of air anneal. The undesirable effect of air anneal increases with decreasing photon penetration in the dosemeter.
