Summary: | We demonstrate experimentally compact inline direct-coupled photonic crystal Fabry-Pérot cavities for transverse-magnetic-polarized light. The cavity design is integrated into 40-μm-long substrate-type photonic crystal waveguides in a honeycomb lattice geometry. The Fabry-Pérot cavities with lengths of a few micrometers are bounded by a number of reflection air-hole mirrors. The quality ( Q )-factors are extracted from Lorentzian fitting and analyzed by finite-difference time-domain simulations. |
