Summary: | When matched filtering is used for detection and geolocation (position estimation) of radio emitters, large emitter clock offset can cause a mismatch between the actual and synthesized (replica) waveforms in both carrier frequency and expansion/compression of the complex, baseband envelope. In this correspondence, the impact of this mismatch on performance is quantified, and an approach for addressing mismatch is presented. Specifically, the receivers employ multiple replicas that are time expanded/compressed as well as frequency shifted. |
