Summary: | This paper proposes a unified power quality conditioner (UPQC) that integrates an electric vehicle charging station and an energy storage device to realize the integration of vehicle-to-grid functions. By comparing the stabilizing capabilities of superconducting magnetic energy storage, battery energy storage, and the parallel-side converter of the UPQC for the direct-current-link voltage of the UPQC under normal and fault conditions, the enhancements that the integration of the superconducting magnetic energy storage provides to the vehicle-to-grid functions of the UPQC are verified. |
