Description
Summary:For the comparative investigation on direct-drive permanent magnet (PM) wind power generators, this paper presents the analytical approach based on transfer relations. Considering various generator types, this paper provides analytical solutions for those generators' characteristic prediction, and the analyzed results are verified. In addition, since our analysis models are designed to be connected to a grid, the power loss characteristics according to grid output power variation are presented considering harmonics in generator current caused by the grid-connected power converter.
