Description
Summary:This article proposes a fast over-the-air (OTA) test method in a reverberation chamber (RC) for measuring the total isotropic sensitivity (TIS) of large-orm-factor wireless device. The mechanism of this method results from the principle of strict complementarity in radiation patterns between total radiated power (TRP) and TIS at the same frequency. Due to this, the measurement of the TIS can be transferred to a co-frequency full test of the TRP and the effective isotropic sensitivity (EIS) of a single sampling state, thereby markedly accelerating the test speed of TIS in comparison to the conventional power-stepping method. Furthermore, the high-precision calibration and the testing of the EIS enhance the accuracy of the test. This fast TIS testing method provides a fast and accurate solution for the OTA measuring of the large-sized wireless devices such as household appliances with wireless modules, particularly during the massive production testing phase.
