Description
Summary:Software development for military organizations follows standards and a set of guidelines established in the requirements engineering domain. However, these procedures are not always documented and it is difficult to reach understanding among stakeholders with varied backgrounds and interests. This article aims to obtain lessons learned through a case study of the development of a defense system for the Armed Forces of Brazil. From the validation of requirements specialist, a software development lifecycle was obtained that integrates the waterfall model and ISO/IEC/IEEE 29148 recommendations. The use of the model obtained facilitated the understanding of the processes that involved military teams, detailed specification of system requirements and success in the geoinformation based prototype.
