Description
Summary:Two domain wall structures in orthorhombic materials are investigated theoretically using the steady state approximation for planar wall motion. One is a Néel wall structure, the other contains a fully developed π - horizontal Bloch line. Both structures are shown to exist simultaneously up to the punch through velocity where the Bloch line structure converts to the untwisted one. The results of the computer simulation have been compared with approximations given by Schlömann concerning the punch through of a horizontal Bloch line. Different strayfield approximations are shown to give results that vary strongly from each other. Experiments on the wall states S=OE and S=OC were carried out to support the computed dynamic behaviour of the wound versus unwound structure.
