Summary: | This paper presents a new passivity enforcement technique for frequency-dependent network equivalents expressed as rational models. The main feature of the proposed technique is that only a few residues of the rational model are perturbed, so that the passivity enforcement procedure becomes computationally more efficient compared to existing methods. The proposed technique is verified on practical network cases. It is demonstrated that the accuracy of the perturbed model is maintained in frequency-domain fitting and time-domain simulations of transients. |
