Summary:Theoretical solutions are given for the thermal spreading resistance of ring-geometry diodes. Numerical results are presented that are more complete than previous published data obtained from analog electrolytic tank measurements. Analytic expressions are given for the two limiting forms of ring geometry (a small ID to OD ratio, and an ID to OD ratio approaching unity).
