Description
Summary:The main subject of this paper is the introduction of a new technique for analysis of self-excited subsynchronous resonance (SSR) based on a simplified model of SSR interaction between machine(s) and network, developed in a companion paper. The technique is discussed in comparison with other techniques which have been used to analyze SSR phenomena. A digital computer program incorporating the technique is described. An example of the application of this program for part of the analysis of SSR for planning the Kaiparowits transmission system is discussed.
