2. Stimulation of the caudal ends of the cervical vagosympathetic nerves causes changes of pulmonary arterial pressure which
cannot be wholly accounted for by concomitant Åsophageal contractions or by bronchomotor effects. The significance of these
results in relation to pulmonary vasomotor nerve activity is discussed.
3. The bronchoconstriction due to excitation of the caudal end of the cervical vagus is potentiated by eserine and suppressed
by atropine, and is also potentiated by ergotoxine in the non-atropinised preparation.
