Summary: | An all-optical angular sensing system based on volume holography is proposed and demonstrated, where a divergent spherical wave is the reference and reading beam for writing and testing, respectively. Under the paraxial condition, analysis shows that angular selectivity is nearly independent of the distance between the hologram and the light source. By choosing an appropriate distance, the entire energy of the source (e.g., an LED) can be employed while maintaining the same resolution for precise angular sensing. © |
