Summary: | Since the first published studies of fractal music by Mandelbrot and Voss, the relationship between music, mathematics, and fractal geometry has been a very active field of research. It has been found that the music of classical composers can be characterized by fractal or self-affine parameters, which in turn serve as the basis for synthetic fractal music. In this work is presented a brief discussion of the state of the art as well as some recent examples of fractal music, including a live demonstration. |
