A Growth-Stimulating Factor for an Epithelial Cell Line in a Reduced Serum Medium
A concentrate obtained from heated solutions of glucose and phosphate demonstrated a stimulatory effect upon epithelial cells cultured in vitro. Survival, attachment to glass, and early cell division were influenced favorably.
