Fluoroacetate Inhibition of Amino Acids during Photosynthesis of Chlamydomonas reinhardti
Fluoroacetate inhibited respiration in Chlamydomonas reinhardti and greatly decreased the photosynthetic incorporation of C$^{14}$O$_{2}$ into glutamate and aspartate. This suggests that the Krebs cycle is important in the light-mediated synthesis of glutamate and aspartate in this alga.
