Description
Summary:We have studied the structural and electrical properties of the Li 0.125 Na 0.875 NbO 3 solid solution prepared by a conventional ceramic processing technique and high-temperature, high-pressure synthesis. The synthesis of the Li 0.125 Na 0.875 NbO 3 solid solution at high pressure and temperature ( p = 6 GPa, T = 1400–1800 K) allows one to achieve a higher degree of structural order and better microhomogeneity. This is accompanied by a considerable increase in dielectric permittivity and ionic conductivity, because ion transport is contributed by the grain boundaries of the ceramic, which have a considerably larger area than those in the Li 0.125 Na 0.875 NbO 3 solid solution prepared by conventional ceramic processing.
