Summary:Trinuclear (Et( n -Pr) 3 N) 3 [Sb 3 Br 12 ] ( 1 ) and tetranuclear (2,2′-bipyH) 4 [Sb 4 Br 20 ] ( 2 ) bromoantimonates(III) are obtained by the reaction of solutions of bromides of the respective organic cations and Sb 2 O 3 in HBr. The structures of 1 and 2 are studied by single crystal XRD. The [Sb 3 Br 12 ] 3– ( 1 ) anions belong to a previously unknown structure type of halide Sb(III) complexes.
