Summary: | The present state of technology for obtaining hydrogen by biological methods and for purifying it is reviewed from the viewpoint of its possible use in kilowatt-class power installations. Hybrid membranesorption biohydrogen purification methods combining membrane-based pretreatment and sorption-based final treatment, also with the use of metal hydrides, should be regarded as the most efficient ones. |
