Summary: | A procedure was developed for the headspace analysis of sedative drugs with the use of a quartz piezoelectric microbalance array. The effects of the nature of film coatings in piezoelectric cell electrodes on the working weight range and the sorption properties of sorbent films were found. An array of six piezoelectric sensors with different response functions in the vapors of the drug Corvalol and its highly volatile constituents was proposed. The procedure is suitable for the quality assessment of other pharmaceuticals based on ethyl alcohol and natural peppermint oil. |
