Summary: | We obtain the exact wave function of an electron coupled in the image potential in the presence of a magnetic field normal to the surface of a metal. Corrections to the electron energy are calculated in the first order of interaction with an external electric field. A possibility of experimental measurement of local electric field via the energy level shift of electrons is discussed. |
